I’m thrilled that such a great piece got to be my final project before Great Big Story’s doors were suddenly closed. The producer approached me to cover a segment of the story explaining the condition with which this incredible woman lives and competes. I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to shift away from the literal to try and communicate emotions through character and visual metaphor.
