Vertical Video

I had the joy of working with Inequality Media on this piece produced to celebrate Labor Day weekend of 2023. It was a year of increased labor organization and resistance to said labor organizing, so explaining the history of the 5-day workweek was—and is—especially relevant.

I designed, edited, animated, and sound designed this piece in just under a month, in time for that pre-Labor Day weekend publication.

Animated Video

Bob's original sketch depicting the political spectrum from left to right over various decades

The video was inspired by this original sketch by Bob

Robert Reich needed a vacation from his busy schedule, so the video team at Inequality Media reached out for my help creating an animated piece to be released during that time.
They requested I incorporate a style that mimicked Bob’s signature doodles (example to the right). I was honored to recreate his doodles, but also created a complimentary style to appear alongside them to incorporated more detail and provide more visual appeal…and more recognizable caricatures of notable figures.

Course Title Card

Bob’s sketchbook reference!

In addition, I had the opportunity to create the title card (mogrt) for Bob’s UC Berkley course, Wealth & Poverty, which was provided for free online during his last two years teaching.

Social Video Assets

Bob and team loved my little animated Robert so much that they wanted to test out having ~ basically ~ little gifs of him doing various actions to overlay onto TikToks and IG reels/stories. This is a small selection of what was created for them. Look at that grumpy lil cutie up there!

Here is a small example of a mini Bob in use at the end of this clip (and also a promo for the aforementioned course that can be found on his substack!)
